Joining the LLM Disco Network

Free and open

The LLM Disco Network is free to join. There's no application process, no approval committee, no fees. If your site meets the minimum requirements (Level 1 conformance), you're in.

The network exists to help AI systems discover AI-readable websites. The more sites that join, the more valuable the network becomes for everyone — including AI systems looking for structured information.

The submission process

Here's what happens from the moment you submit your URL to when AI crawlers start finding you:

1. Submit your URL — Go to llmdisco.com and enter your website URL. You can submit either your main domain or your AI Discovery Page directly.
2. Automated verification — Our system crawls your site looking for the required elements: Schema.org markup, AI Discovery Page at /ai-discovery, proper structured data. This takes seconds.
3. Conformance level determined — Based on what we find, your site is assigned a conformance level (1, 2, or 3). Higher levels mean more complete implementations.
4. Added to the directory — Your site appears in the LLM Disco directory with your business name, description, and conformance level. A listing page is created at llmdisco.com/sites/yourdomain.
5. Added to the master sitemap — Your AI Discovery Page URL is added to llmdisco.com/sitemap.xml — the master sitemap that AI crawlers use to discover all network members.

The entire process typically takes less than a minute. If verification fails, you'll see exactly what's missing so you can fix it and resubmit.

What we verify

The automated verification checks for the minimum requirements (Level 1 conformance):

For higher conformance levels, we also check for:

• Level 2: llm-index.json, entities.json, knowledge-graph.json
• Level 3: Defined actions in llm-index.json with accessible endpoints

Your directory listing

Once verified, your site gets a public listing page at llmdisco.com/sites/yourdomain. The listing includes:

• Your business name and description (pulled from Schema.org)
• Your conformance level
• Link to your AI Discovery Page
• Links to your AI resources (llm-index.json, entities, etc.)
• Verification timestamp

The listing information is pulled automatically from your Schema.org markup and llm-index.json. Keep those updated, and your listing stays current.

How AI crawlers find you

Once you're in the network, AI systems can discover your site through multiple paths:

The master sitemap

The network maintains a standard XML sitemap at llmdisco.com/sitemap.xml containing every member's AI Discovery Page. AI crawlers that know about LLM Disco can fetch this sitemap and discover all member sites in one request.

Cross-network discovery

Every AI Discovery Page in the network links back to llmdisco.com. When an AI crawler lands on any member site, it can follow that link to discover the entire network. Find one, discover all.

Direct crawling

AI crawlers can also find your site directly through your AI Discovery Page, which is allowed in your robots.txt even when the rest of your main site blocks AI crawlers.

Frequently asked questions

How long does verification take?

Usually seconds. The automated system checks your site immediately when you submit. If everything passes, you're listed right away.

What if verification fails?

You'll see a detailed report of what's missing or incorrect. Fix the issues and resubmit — there's no limit on attempts.

Is there a cost?

No. The network is free to join and free to use. No premium tiers, no fees.

Can I be removed from the network?

Yes. You can request removal at any time, or simply remove your AI Discovery Page — we'll delist you on the next verification cycle.

How often is my listing updated?

We re-verify sites periodically to ensure conformance and update listing information. You can also trigger a manual re-verification anytime.

What if my conformance level changes?

If you add more LLM-LD features (entities, knowledge graph, etc.), request a re-verification to update your conformance level.
